Bridal Shower Update

Hi Girls,
Just wanted to send out an update on the bridal shower. Esther helped me shop all day yesterday (thanks again, e), and we got some stuff for the partay. She also had some good ideas about activities and such. Here's what we're thinking:

1. Guests arrive, we take pictures (and we can also take pictures during the event to add to the scrapbook).
2. Annie arrives. We can start off with the face portrait icebreaker game.
3. Hainan/Annie trivia game with the video of Hainan answering the list of questions. I can put the questions on cards and give them to whoever gives the right answer. At the end, the person who answers the most wins the prize (a set of 4 candles that we bought at Ikea). We could also eat/drink during this time.
4. Painting - one of Esther's good ideas. We bought watercolor paints and small canvas-type boards that each of us can paint for Annie and she can put up later in her house. And if they turn out rather ugly (like mine, haha), she can relegate them to the guest room :).
5. Work on the scrapbook? I had thought of having people write their messages and stuff before Annie gets there, but I guess it'd be okay if we do it during the shower too. And this way the guests would have time to decorate their pages and stuff. I bought an 8x8 scrapbook with 10 sheets and a set of 10 refill sheets (so 40 sides total - is that enough?). 8x8 is pretty small, so we might have to cut pictures and stuff to have room for text and any other decorations. The 12x12 was just huge, and the 8.5x11 ones I saw were ugly, in my opinion. The one I bought has a blue silk cover with a cutout for a picture to go on the cover.
6. Open gifts.

What do you gals think?

As for shopping, we bought party favors - Esther found these cool wavy blue vases at Ikea for $1 each. I'll go buy flowers (Gerber daisies or something similar), and we can put one in each vase. Then we can tie a ribbon around it and put a little label that says "Annie's Bridal Shower" and the date or something like that. We also bought blue plates, napkins, tablecloth, streamers, paintbrushes, watercolor paints.

Still have to buy food, flowers, drinks, various supplies and stuff. I'm estimating ~$200 total cost. Let me know if you have any more suggestions.

Thanks for reading :).
